This is a still from another projection-based video art piece that Middleschool conceived of for the David Cronenberg inspired art show that took place during this year’s TIFF at 107 Shaw Gallery. The Ghost is Dancing posted on September 14th, 2009
THIS THUNDER - THIS THURSDAY!
Middleschool’s Aaron Kopff, Norman Wong, and Daniel Grant along with Agi Gutkowska, art directing, shot a music video based on classic French New Wave films for the band The Ghost is Dancing. Recreating the scenes from films such as Breathless (À bout de souffle), Jules and Jim, and Band of Outsiders (Bande à part ) was quite a thrill and proved to be a very rewarding challenge.

The track is called This Thunder and can be found on TGID’s new record BATTLES ON released by Sonic Unyon.

The video premiere of Parallels‘ single Ultralight was held at The Ossington. The video filmed at the Wrongbar, was directed by Middleschool (Norman Wong, Aaron Kopff, and Daniel Grant). It is an experimentation in projection and light. The crew had a blast filming this video with the rising electro-synth dance stars.
Toronto’s weekly NOW magazine posted the video on their daily news feed.
