Agnes mon Amour by Agi Gutkowska on October 14th, 2009

Our friends at Emporium Gallery in Montreal are putting on a show of  Agnes Karin Thor’s work, the opening is on Oct 22nd, 2009. I particularly like her Versailles Mon Amour series. Check it out in its entirety on her site.

This also reminds me of another Agnes : Varda.

The Beaches of Agnes ( Les Plages d’Agnes) from 2008.

I saw her and her wonderful film which is an auto-portrait at the 2008 TIFF festival.  She is a strong female presence who started to to create films along side the new wave film makers and was married to Jaques Demy.
